Lanvin prepared for the Pre Fall 2015 collection another tone and set of trends. The fashion designer Alber Elbaz wanted to come with more than cocktail dresses as as the critics say about his collections. So, he gave a lot of attention to all the daywear pieces without creating a special theme.
"All the pieces people are looking for - a coat for the weekend, a dress for traveling, a pair of pants, high-heeled shoes that you can walk in" the designer said.
The collection of 85 looks was presented in a slideshow manner with images flashing on a computer screen and a short repeating commentary "Forty-six looks are for day," intended to reach the critics and expand the idea of a more flexible daywear collection.
The Pre Fall 2015 collection is a lot about the city luxury touch. We can see coats, belted trenchcoat, a Prince of Wales top, skirts like gathered blankets, opera-coat inspired dresses, jewelled leather sneakers, cone-heeled black-leather and gold-snakeskin boots. All over the collection, one motif was dominant: men's wear check, the quite manly touch.
It is, definitely, a collection that shows the citadine extravagance and opulence in flawless straight cuts and dramatic pieces.
