Karl Lagerfeld declares his real age

It has always been a mystery linked to the great designer Karl Lagerfeld. When asked about his date of birth, he always oscilated between 1933 and 1938 based on a supposed error made by his mother on the birth certificate. 

"My mother changed the date. It was much easier to make a 3 or a 8." declared the Kaiser. 

But, in a recent interview published in Paris Match, Karl Lagerfeld admitted to have been born on 10 September 1935. Therefore, the designer is 77 years old. 

A long career in fashion that started in 1955 at Pierre Balmain and continued as one of the strongest fashion icons when becoming the Chanel brain. This May, a short movie on the life of Coco Chanel will be launched on the occasion of the croissiere collection launch.
