Judith Light and Mireille Dumas, presidents for the jury st Monte Carlo TV Festival

The Monte-Carlo Television Festival is proud to announce that two iconic figures in the audiovisual world, Judith Light and Mireille Dumas, will chair the Fiction and Documentary & Current Affairs juries respectively at its 64th edition, which will be held from June 13 to 17, 2025, at the Grimaldi Forum Monaco.

An exceptional female duo to celebrate television excellence
This is a first in the history of the Festival: two women will lead the juries of the 64th Monte-Carlo Television Festival this year. This powerful decision underscores the Festival's commitment to promoting excellence and diversity in the television field. Their expertise and keen eye will be key assets in rewarding the most outstanding works in competition this year.

Judith Light, Chair of the Drama Jury
A renowned actress and multiple Emmy® and Tony Award winner, Judith Light has left her mark on television, film, and theater with her remarkable performances. A graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, she began her career on stage before becoming known to the general public thanks to her role as Karen Wolek in the soap opera One Life to Live, for which she won two consecutive Daytime Emmy Awards. She gained international recognition as Angela Bower on the hit sitcom Who's the Boss?, which aired from 1984 to 1992. Over the years, Judith Light has demonstrated her versatility, starring in series such as Ugly Betty, Transparent, and The Politician, as well as more recent productions such as Julia and the horror comedy Shining Vale. Last year, Light won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy for her role in Rian Johnson's Peacock series Poker Face. Her recent projects include the Apple TV+ series Before, alongside Billy Crystal, the dark comedy The Menu (Searchlight), and Out of My Mind for Disney+. She is set to star in The Terror: Devil in Silver, an AMC and Scott Free Productions production. Her commitment to complex roles and her exceptional contribution to the performing arts earned her a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2019.
