After 50 years from John F Kennedy's assassination, the fragrance industry retouches the souls with a new series of Eight & Bob, the perfume so much adored by JFK.
The story behind this scent discovery goes back in 1937 when John F Kennedy was a student on the French Riviera. It is in the South of France that the American President discovered the scent and fell in love with it. He met back then Albert Fouquet, a fine Frenchmen in love with perfumes. It is from Fouquet that JFK learnt the love from authentic French fragrance. John F Kennedy received a bottle of the fragrance at the hotel with a funny note: "In this jar, you will find the dash of French glamour that your American personality lacks,"
After his departure in the United States, JFK asked Fouquet for eight more perfumes and, if possible, one for his brother Bob, too. So, Fouquet prepared a great package of perfumes labeled "Eight & Bob". We like the sense of humour.
What is the secret behind the perfume's scent?
The perfume is made from aromatic plants that Fouquet discovered on a trip to Chile, including a plant called Andrea. The rest is strictly secret.
The business was continued by Fouquet's assistant, Philippe, after his death, stopped during the World War Two and returned on the market in the past years.
