Japan Fashion Week is a source of inspiration for all people: designers and fashion lovers, art pursuiters. Japan Fashion Week is so different in style from the other fashion weeks, that the artistic side of it never fades and the muses never cease to appear. Japan Fashion Week starts today till Saturday and we all going to love it.
What I love about Japan Fashion Week is that always proves that art is the nucleus of fashion.
Japanese designers took their inspiration from nature, from traditional Japanese gardens, from rainbows, but also from cheerleader and sixties moods.
"This season I've used checks and ethnic patterns, as well as a collaboration with the artist Dogu Arin to create girly unisex and men's items." -Fumica Goto, Tambourine / WWD
"I started developing items that take inspiration not only from the Malay Peninsula and the Middle East, but also places like Turkey and Egypt." -Windri Widiesta Dhari, Nur Zahra / WWD
"We were inspired by traditional Japanese-style landscape gardens." -Takeshi Kitazawa and Emiko Sato, Dressedundressed / WWD
"My theme this season is ‘rainbow.' In Korea, we have a type of traditional rice cake that at first glance looks like a rainbow, with its eye-catching variety of colors." -Jei Kim, Fleamadonna / WWD
"The Curious Club of Gentlewomen is inspired by a mix of different kinds of club cultures from the classic English gentlemen's club to girls' power cheerleading clubs to children's curious clubhouses." -Pim Sukhahuta, Sretsis /WWD
