Halle Berry and Michael Kors join forces against famine in the world

Michael Kors and the actress Halle Berry join their force to fight hunger in the world. Halle Berry will work beside Michael Kors to sensitise opinion and rising funds for the worldwide Food Programme (PAM) of the United Nations. The brand Michael Kors has recently announced a long-term partnership with PAM to collect millions of dollars to help eradicate hunger. The designer and the actress wanted to celebrate their union in favour of this commitment during a dinner in the Oven Seasons in New York, on April 6th. Many personalities such as Mario Testino, Solange Knowles, Inez and Vinoodh, Doutzen Kroes, Hilary Rhoda, Constancy Jablonski, Harley Viera Newton, Amanda Hearst or Tali Lennox were present. 

As part of the Michael Kors campaign «WATCH HUNGER STOP», the first plan of Halle Berry and Michael Kors will consist in the launching of two items especially conceived from the watch Runway, which appears among the best sales of the brand. For every sold watch, 100 meals will be distributed to children in the need by means of PAM, the humanitarian organisation of struggle against hunger. Watches "Runway 100 Series" will be available in May, in Michael Kors boutiques around the world. Halle Berry and Michael Kors plan to make a visit on the ground with PAM in 2014 to determine in person the job performed by the organisation and to put the emphasis on the current necessity to eradicate present hunger in many countries of the world. 

Reputed for her talent, Hally Berry was also honoured over the years for her activism and philanthropy. For more than ten years, she dedicates her time and her money to helping victims of domestic violence by supporting Jenesse Center in Los Angeles. As ambassador of Revlon, she is quite involved in the running Revlon Run for Women which aims at raising funds for research and treatment of the cancer. In 2009, the Love Our Children organisation USA awarded the price «Mothers Who Make a Difference». The struggle against hunger is as a result a natural extension of her commitment in favour of the women and of the children.

PAM concentrates particularly on women because, as mothers, teachers and business managers, they will improve the future of their families and their communities. It is a battle which I start enthusiastically because I am sure that we can indeed change the life of the persons in the need».
