With the new designer Alessandro Michele, the creativity in fashion took another turn. It is more androgynous, more natural and simpler. It's the high fashion chic.
The beauty looks for the runway show kept the same simple line. The models were asked to sleep with their hair wet a night before the show just to give a more natural look. The hair stylist Paul Hanlon said: "For me it's like a casting of a film, it doesn't look like a casting that you'd do for a show." It is not the glamour but the chic in all the looks. Berets, bangs, messy bun, all were needed for a not so perfect look.
As for the makeup, the makeup artist Pat McGrath kept it to its limits as simple as possible. Just a lip balm and natural colours on the face with a little shadow around the eyes for the contour.
"There's no real uniform," McGrath said, adding: "It's really about the models being characters, being themselves. And, in a way, very eccentric."
Now with all these looks we can feel the California in the seventies vibes.
