With Alessandro Michele, the new designer at the horns of Gucci creativity, the Fall 2015 collection breaths a fresh air. Besides its androgynous style, it shows off romanticism and melancholy.
The designer wanted to create this ambiance being inspired by the way young people dress in the big capitals of the world.
"It's just a relaxed and chic way to dress," said Michele. "The cities tell more than what I can imagine."
In a sort of vintage touch and a la 70s vibe, the collection includes a bohemian and also a nerdy energy with all the flower dresses, teacher skirts, accordion pleat skirts, a lot of ruffles and tapestry.
There is all new, a brand new inspiration. We do not feel Frida Giannini's energy anymore.
"There is nothing from the archives," the designer said backstage to WWD, about the chain-handled bag in GG canvas that might have been associated with the from founder Guccio Gucci's time. "But it's an invention....It does not exist, but it's super chic."
So, the entire collection wears the street chic and the youth vibe, a sort of collection that we can devour everytime we see it.
