The "Golden Foot" is an international career prize given every year to greatest footballers ever in the Principality of Monaco under the High Patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II and promoted by World Champions Club and Tourism Office of Monaco.
2011 candidates are: David Beckham (England), Gianluigi Buffon (Italy), Iker Casillas (Spain), Didier Drogba (Ivory Coast), Samuel Eto'o (Cameroon), Ryan Giggs (Wales), Carles Puyol (Spain), Raúl González Blanco (Spain), Xavi Hernández (Spain), Javier Zanetti (Argentina) .
The names have been chosen by the GOLDEN FOOT jury composed by 58 journalists representing sports media all over the world. The winner will be chosen by football fans, who will decide the star who will leave his footprints on THE CHAMPIONS PROMENADE, football "Walk of Fame".
You can vote by the
website http://www.goldenfoot.com until 12.00 GMT (Monte Carlo time) of
next October 7. The award will be hosted on October 10 in Monte Carlo.
The confirmed legends invited to leave their footprints for the Champions Promenade alongside the Golden Foot winner are Luis Figo (Portugal), Ruud Gullit (Netherlands), Rabah Madjer (Algeria), Abedi "Pelé" (Ghana) .
