It was a mix of cultures for Dior at Paris Couture Week show. Psychedelic prints, voluminous dresses, colorful jumpsuits, over the knee stretch boots and plastic in a mixing fabrics context.
So, this time for Raf Simons was much more of a retro mood. The 50s, the 60s and the 70s mixed together into a modern style that captured the eye. The designer reminded also of Paco Rabanne and Miyake and also Marc Bohen's elegance. With this thinking in mind, Raf Simons put together elements from each decade. So, it was all in there: fabrics over fanrics, textures next to textures, embroideries, plastic prints. The stunner was the pleated embroidered ribbon dress, while to the plastic coats, I am a little reticent.
With an entire line of simplicity, the retro turned into modern vibes and elegant chic through the entire collection.
