It's hard to make the glitter sparkle in the right way, nowadays! There has been so much kitsch! But, not for Karl Lagerfeld!
Starting from tailoring inspired by the silhouette of Giacometti's Spoon Woman which focuses on high waist and curves around the hips in the shape of the spoon up to long silhouettes filled with sparkles and glitters.
Karl Lagerfeld created the dress bodies from abstract embroideries with feathers on the sleeves or hems to bring more elegance to the looks. The crystal elements, also seen on the decorations in the Grand Palais, stayed as the main focus on a glorious look that never looked retro but more modern, bringing the 20s chic ambiance into a nowadays luxury energy.
The elegance makes a twist with tailoring accessorized with big belts and hats and the returning of glitter as the shinning chic part of the fashion.
