It's been 14 years since Inès de la Fressange is out of having her own clothing business. First as a model and then having her own clothing brand under LVHM umbrella, Inès de la Fressange wants to bring back her name into the clothing industry.
First and most important thing for Inès de la Fressange is to bring the French chic back. And this, because the foreign investors are deeply attracted to this French vibe and chicness. Aren't we all?! Most of all, she wrote the book Parisian chic which was translated into 17 languages and sold more than one million copies in the entire world.
After being ambassador for brands like L'Oréal and Roger Vivier, the image of Chanel, Inès de la Fressange started a collaboration with Uniqlo, the huge Japanese brand. The partnership evolved in creating the collections for Fall 2014 and spring 2015.
The design director Naoki Takizawa is very happy for the collaboration because it gave them some tips on what women really want to wear.
"Many brands are working with other designers, but in this case, Uniqlo is cooperating with a customer - albeit a very special customer," Naoki Takizawa said. "She brought us the familiarity with how women wear clothes and also what they need. This is a very important point of view for the brand."
The clothing lines are already in sale in France and worldwide.
