Fossil celebrates 30 years of vintage inspiration with global design competition

The iconic American brand Fossil is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. Since 1984 , the company has its roots in authenticity and aesthetic feature . Today , Fossil offers watches and accessories for men and women, including jewelry, handbags, small leather goods and even clothing in over 400 stores worldwide .

Fossil began its activities in the year with its global design competition caskets starting January 30. Inspired by the colorful metal boxes products from the 40s and 50s, Fossil has decided to create its own packaging that people will want to treasure , while expressing the creativity of the iconic brand. The design competition goes back to the roots of the company graphic design, with a theme "30 years to go on the road ." Fossil creative invites fans to create their own cans of iconic watches inspired by an American travel from the 50s and 60s: antique cars, dinners and roadside attractions along Route 66.

The Dallas-based company will judge the submissions on their originality, creativity and representation of modern and vintage style of Fossil. The top 30 designs will be displayed in an online gallery for public voting and will be produced in real cans exposed in Fossil stores and at events throughout the year. A Fossil microsite explains the rules and regulations and also host the gallery and votes.

Five finalists will be chosen :

One (1) Grand Prize winner will receive $ 5,000

Two (2) First Prize winners will receive $ 2,500 each

Two (2) second prize winners will receive $ 1,000 each
