Fast Fashion Shein is not welcome in Nice

Immediately after learning that the current manager of the Gare du Sud planned to receive, with great fanfare, the Chinese company Shein for the installation of a pop-up store within it, the Mayor of Nice, Christian Estrosi, contacted the leaders of the Iera group to obtain its cancellation.
 
Christian Estrosi, Mayor of Nice, President of the Nice Côte d'Azur Metropolis, Deputy President of the Provence Alpes Côte d'Azur Region:
 
"I would like to thank Mr. Renato Iera who immediately agreed to cancel the event planned with SHEIN from April 11 to 14.
 
The city of Nice is not intended to welcome a company that does not respect its humanist values and represents a threat to local commerce for which I have always fought. I am therefore delighted with the cancellation of this event.
 
If, however, the company in question attempted to set up its pop-up store elsewhere in Nice, I will take all measures in my power to prevent it. I asked the commerce management to pay particular attention to this.
 
Shein is not welcome in Nice, at Gare du Sud or anywhere else."
