FASHION TREND - THE LITTLE BLACK DRESS
Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) Museum of Art is proud to introduce Little Black Dress, the first exhibition in France, whose commissioner is André Leon Talley, member of the Council of Administration of SCAD and collaborator for Vogue US.
WHERE THE FASHION EXHIBITION TAKES PLACE?
The exhibition will be opened to the public from July 3rd, 2013 till September 22nd, 2013 to Mona Bismarck American Center for art and culture, 34, avenue of New York 75116 Paris, with M.A.C. Cosmetics as sponsor.
Little Black Dress redraws the historical and contemporary importance of this dress phenomenon. Introducing more than 50 pieces of most modern couturiers, this exhibition will include contributions of experienced designers and celebrities named in "International Best-Dressed List" such as Chanel, Mark Jacobs, Miuccia Prada, Tom Ford, Prabal Gurung, Proenza Schouler, Oscar de la Renta and Lady Gaga. It was inaugurated to Savannah SCAD Museum of Art in September, 2012 in SCAD MUSEUM OF ART before becoming established in Paris this summer.
What are the fashion pieces in the exhibition?
The pieces introduced in Little Black Dress include a selection of the collection Autumn / winter, 2011 of Prabal Gurung, before carried by Sarah Jessica-Parker; as well as a Stella Mccartney dress carried by Rihanna. Other many iconic pieces will announce this exhibition, coming from collections of Wren Scott, Givenchy, Cushnie and Ochs, Yves Saint-Laurent, and many others …
