Dylan McDermott is present for the 62nd edition of Monte Carlo TV Festival to promote his new series, FBI: Most Wanted.
With a presence that shows much maturity in his life, the actor knows how to perfectly put on a smile when needed.
The series focuses on stories that track and capture the most wanted criminals on the FBI's list. Dylan McDermott is playing the role of Rémy Scott, a character that allowed him to be more him and bring some if his need of justice to the screen. Most of it he liked to play it undercover as the priest to give him this force of justice at all levels.
He is very much related to his past and everything that happened in his real life, like having a childhood among gangsters, having his mother killed by her gangster boyfriend, being kicked out of his stand up comedy show because it was not good. All these shaped the man he is today.
« I played a lot of bad guys along the way and I thought it was time to be the good guy again. »
And he likes to bring parts from his real life to the show, like his daughter or his dog who is very fond of.
« My two favorite people! »
He tells us about his favourite part in the series where he acts as a priest.
« There was something about putting that collar on... I did an hommage to the Exorcist. There was something about that guy holding the Bible, and bringing these bad guys to justice, it was so compelling to me and I found losing myself in the character."
There is something about Dylan McDermott, something that wants to get out, either through his roles but rather through his memoires he has been trying to compile together for a book to come relating his life. Which, by the way, is worthy of a movie!
