We all know Bono as a philanthrop and a charity man. He has been involved in reconstructing African territory of Ouganda after the civil war.

Bono and his wife Ali Hewson built there a farm where cotton is raised. With this, unique jeans are made under the label EDUN.

It was a matter of time for Bono to start a collaboration with a big jeans brand. And it was time for Diesel to do it.

At the conference on the theme "Luxury and Africa" organised at Rome on 15 and 16 November by International Herald Tribune, Renzo Rosso, the Diesel's parent, announced the collaboration with EDUN.

It is about a collection inspired from "the african creativity, entirely produced and realised with the high quality Ouganda cotton".

The project will be helped by a campaign that will start in February 2013 and the collection will be available at Colette, Paris too.
