Diane Lane, a feminist dreamer in Paris Can Wait

We all fell in love with the story Under the Tuscan Sun! Now, the Italian landscape switched to the French one in the movie Paris Can Wait in which the beautiful Diane Lane is performing the main role.

It's another invitation to travel, to dreaming, to the French gastronomy, wines and amazing sights. As the title says, the journey is focused more on the road to Paris and not on the capital itself. The discoverings, the emotions, they are all revealing.

The actress plays the role of Anne, the wife of a well known director played by Alec Baldwin who accepts to be driven from Cannes to Paris by her husband's friend who was more absent than present in her life. Besides discovery and reflection through journey, the movie depicts also the life of the director, Ms Coppola at an younger age when she did her first movie. It is about that ownership feeling the woman conquers through her journey. 

"It's the female experience," Diane Lane says, cited by WWD. "It's like telling a joke; you have to think it's funny yourself. If you don't get the joke, how in the hell are you ever going to say it in the manner in which it's going to be funniest? The female experience is like that. So with that in mind, we just felt very comfortable without questioning ourselves or appeasing another agenda of ‘Does this please you?'" 

Paris Can Wait is about plunging into a feminine experience of introspection and joy, of new experiences and sensations, it is the perfect line for wanderlust we all dream about.
