Designer fashion trends
Spring Summer 2012 for Gucci is inspired from Art Deco, Hard Deco: animal prints, chromatic contrasts, jewel accents.
"Fusing elements from our DNA, from design history, from photography - making them current with a strong sense of personality. Louise Brookes and Nancy Cunard in the images of Man Ray. The opulence of the era of hedonism. Mirror embroidery recalling the skyscrapers of a metropolis. Artisanal workings with 3D effects." , declared Frida Giannini, Creative Director of Gucci.
Hard Deco comes with Deco high jewels, comes with the line where boyish meets girlish, soft meets hard. Elements that can be found within this inspiration are: slim jackets, high waist for soft pants, oversized shirts, geometric degrade, architectural embroidery with metal elements, gold reflections.
The trend is for minimalism but in a sophisticated manner. Everything shines, glows and looks spectacular. This is what happends when fashion has muse sources from art.
