Designer fashion trends
Festival of Cannes starts tomorrow and last till 27th of May: a period full of events, glamour, fashion and celebrities. For a couple of days, Cannes becomes the international capital of fame.
This year, more than other, Hollywood seems to has priority. Marilyn Monroe is the symbol icon of the festival, being on this year poster. A long list of celebrities are coming to the Festival and other events to the glory of the film and fashion.
Festival of Cannes starts tomorrow with a screening of "Moonrise Kingdom" directed by Wes Anderson in which plays Edward Norton, Bruce Willis, Tilda Swinton and Bill Murray.
Other stars like Nicole Kidman, Brad Pitt, Reese Witherspoon, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and the French Marion Cotillard, Audrey Tautou and Juliette Binoche can be seen on the Red Carpet.
As for the fashion, the highlights will be on Chopard's celebrating its 15th years as official sponsor of the Festival. Chopard will host Chopard Trophy on 17 May, an event hosted by Sean Penn with who the luxury brand also partened for a charity event for Haiti: "Haiti:Carnival in Cannes" on Friday. The event will be presented by Giorgio Armani and and Czech model Petra Nemcova.
Dior will launch a party Thursday night in celebration of the French director Jacques Audiard's film "Rust and Bone" starring Marrion Cotillard.
Women in Film event will be hosted by Calvin Klein and Independent Filmmaker Project. Stars like Diane Kruger, Naomi Watts, Jessica Chastain, Ludivine Sagnier and Shailene Woodley will be among the guests of the event. Watts will be the ambassador of de Grisogono's gala dinner at the Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Cap d'Antibes on May 23. The night party is hosted by Taio Cruz and DJ Julio Santo Domingo.
Hôtel du Cap will also host the annual amfAR charity gala on May 24 with stars like Milla Jovovich, Kylie Minogue, Alec Baldwin, Janet Jackson, Karl Lagerfeld, Carine Roitfeld, Michel Hazanavicius and Bérénice Bejo, Ryan Kavanaugh, Jean-Jacques Lebel, Michel Litvak, Aishwarya Rai, Vincent Roberti, Caroline Scheufele, Weinstein and amfAR chairman Kenneth Cole.
