For its new campaign, Modern Essentials, selected by David Beckham, H & M brings back David Beckham, one of the greatest icons of sport and fashion, and Kevin Hart, international star of comedy. The campaign revolves around a road trip, echoing the story line of the previous film in which Kevin Hart was about to take on the role of David Beckham in a biopic. In this new campaign, David and Kevin have similar looks from the collection Autumn 2016, Kevin prepares for his role in "I, Beckham: The Musical."
"I liked turning the previous H & M campaign with Kevin that a sequel was needed. I hope that everyone will appreciate, because we have a lot of fun to perform, "says David Beckham.
"It's great to have another opportunity to show the world what we all already know: that I am the true inspiration behind the style of David Beckham. He copies me at all, "said Kevin Hart. This new campaign features the road trip of David and Kevin, left Los Angeles to join Las Vegas where they were supposed to meet those who will finance a new musical: "I, Beckham: The Musical."
On the road, Kevin is working to get into his role while David is becoming more extreme. For this campaign, David and Kevin have two looks from the collection: a zipped bomber jacket with faux fur collar, combined with a turtleneck and a sweater color block.
"David and Kevin are very elegant in this campaign. The Modern Essentials collection is for men with style and personality, whatever the circumstances. The aviator jacket and striped sweater are the new essential parts of menswear worldwide, "says Andreas Löwenstam, Menswear Design Manager at H & M.
This campaign has again been directed by Fredrik Bond, already director of the last two films of David Beckham for H & M. The images were filmed near Los Angeles during the month of May and David took the opportunity to share photos on Instagram shooting and unveiling the new campaign with Kevin. Modern Essentials Collection selected by David Beckham for fall 2016 will be available in all H & M stores offering men's collections, as well as online, from September 29.
