Alexander McQueen celebrates 10 years on the brands skull signature. It was time to reitterate the symbol and create something special with it. This is how the limited edition scarves came alive.

And, the brand tapped Damien Hirst as the image for this. Every designs is, in fact, inspired from Hirst "Entomology" series. A line filled with spiders, buga, butterflies and other insects worked in a geometry of the Alexander McQueen skull motif.

Damien Hirst for Alexander McQueen scarves line:

Why Damien Hirst? Because the brand shares the same aesthetic vision  "in which an interest in symmetrical design is combined with strong references to the natural world.", cited by WWD.

The Alexander McQueen scarves collection:

The Alexander McQueen scarves collection will be available in cashmere, twill, chiffon for a price at about 470 euros each. It will be available for sale starting mid-November at Alexander McQueen stores and online boutique.
