A new series of 6 expert conferences will take place at the Théâtre de l'Artistique every Tuesday at 3 p.m. from November 5, 2024 until December 10, 2024.
This series of unprecedented conferences will highlight the work of the Natural History Museum and the cutting-edge research laboratories located in the region that have been conducting ambitious research on biodiversity for over 2 centuries. It will also be an opportunity to highlight the close collaboration of these scientists with experts from Turin and the Principality of Monaco who will present their work on oceanography and geology respectively.

Tuesday, November 19, 2024: "Birth of the zoological station of Villefranche-sur-Mer" by Christophe Migon (Oceanographic Laboratory of Villefranche)
Tuesday, November 26, 2024: "Geological exploration of the Nice coastline in the 19th century" by Luc Barale (Italian National Research Council, Institute of Geosciences and Georesources of Turin), Annalaura Pistarino (Regional Museum of Natural Sciences of Turin) and Massimiliano Senesi (Regional Museum of Natural Sciences of Turin)
Tuesday, December 3, 2024: "The Côte d'Azur coastline, the subject of study of the Nice school of naturalists" by Olivier Gerriet (Nice Museum of Natural History).
Tuesday, December 10, 2024: "Naturalists, pioneers in the study of the underwater flora of the Côte d'Azur" by Alexandre Meinesz (professor emeritus at the Côte d'Azur University in charge of research on invasive plants in the Mediterranean)
