Women in Motion Award at Festival de Cannes

Kering and the Festival de Cannes are pleased to present the 2023 Women In Motion Emerging Talent Award to Carmen Jaquier Women in Motion has been a part of Cannes Film Festival since 2015 awarding emearging women talents in the film industry. In parallel, the Women In Motion Award recognizes the careers and commitments of emblematic figures from the film world: Jane Fonda (2015), Susan Sarandon and Geena Davis (2016), Isabelle Huppert (2017), Patty Jenkins (2018), Gong Li (2019), Salma Hayek (2021), Viola Davis (2022) and, this year, Michelle Yeoh.  As part of the ninth edition of Women In Motion, Kering and the Festival de Cannes awarded the Emerging Talent Prize for the first directed feature film. This prize included a 50,000 euros grant to support the creation of her next film project. As in every year since 2019, the preceding Prize winner chooses her successor. This year, Sweden's Ninja Thyberg selected Swiss director Carmen Jaquier.  "I am very grateful to receive this award, especially from a visionary and inspiring director like Ninja Thyberg. Nikki Beach hosted the official press lunch for Woody Allen's latest film, Café Society. The record-breaking New York director Woody Allen and the stellar cast represented by Jesse Eisenberg, Blake Lively, Kristen Stewart and Corey Stoll, enjoyed a sumptuous luncheon of Nikki Beach signature style dishes. Nikki Beach was selected as the preferred venue to host the luncheon for the film Café Society, that opened the 69th Festival International du Film de Cannes last night. The menu featured a selection of hand rolled sushi specialties, sun kissed Sicilian tomatoes paired with a delicious buffalo mozzarella and crispy crudités, followed by a choice of tender chateaubriand or freshly caught tarbot.
