With twenty-three meters long, its luxurious interior, its slender lines, MY Selena, the new yacht designed by Van der Valk - Continental Yachts, does not go unnoticed this summer for its first outing in the Adriatic Sea. Combining exceptional species of wood, leather, steel and HI-MACS, MY Selena is a mix of noble and modern materials creating a classic and contemporary interior. The interior, entirely made-to-measure is organized on two levels to meet customer requirements: a steering space including a living room with dining room, kitchen, reserve and control station, and a lower deck with four cabins all for guests with their own private facilities. Outside, a second living room adjoining the second steering position occupies the fly-bridge, with a large L-shaped sofa and a living area at the bow.
From the artificial lighting that creates dynamic effects on the surfaces up to the exposed seams leather upholstery and custom colored mosaics bathrooms, MY Selena perfection has been designed down to the smallest detail.
To create an interior atmosphere that is both cozy and modern, the designers decided to create unusual contrasts of colors and materials by mixing walnut woodwork dark, streaked with gray and black veins, with contemporary finishes and steel HI-MACS acrylic stone.
Thermoformable, HI-MACS can adopt virtually all configurations while its surface totally non-porous seal is preventing dirt from baking. Thus, HI-MACS® has created bathrooms in specific colors.
HI-MACS is a "solid surface" material that can take any number of forms. It is widely used for architectural and interior applications such as wall coverings, kitchen countertops, bathroom facilities or furniture, both in commercial, residential and public. This mixture of acrylic, natural minerals and pigments form a smooth, nonporous and without visible joints and meets the highest aesthetic standards, workmanship, functionality and hygiene, in many ways superior to conventional materials.
