Contemporary Art at Nice Art Expo 2023

Contemporary art comes to Nice! On April 14, 15 and 16, 2023, nearly 200 artists will exhibit their art at the Palais des Expositions for the 2nd edition of the NICE ART EXPO fair. Whether emerging or internationally renowned, they will come to meet collectors, amateurs or simply curious, for a weekend in the heart of the Côte d'Azur.
On the program: three days dedicated to art in all its forms. From painting to sculpture via photography, contemporary art has no limits and is exhibited over more than 4,000m2. A real visual and sensory experience open to all audiences and punctuated by activities of all kinds.
Meetings, conferences, round tables or even live painting will be on the agenda. At the heart of the show, a huge wall of free expression on which artists and visitors can indulge their creativity.

The 2023 edition of NICE ART EXPO welcomes an exceptional sponsor: the artist Laurence JENK who has been practicing his art on the Côte d'Azur for many years, notably with his famous "Bonbon" sculptures which have made him famous throughout the world. .
At the genesis of this "ARTventure", love! The love of art, the love of the city of Nice, the love of sharing and the love of two passionate young people from Nice who have launched the crazy challenge of organizing a huge contemporary art fair on the Côte d'Azur . Thomas Lemaire and Dana Ponthier, both 25 years old, partners in town and in the office, imagined this project without doubting the magnitude it would take. Following a first edition in 2022 which welcomed more than 11,000 visitors, the NICE ART EXPO fair has already become a reference in the art world, to the point of developing in 2023 in two other cities in France: Le Mans and Perpignan.

"When the idea came to us to create an international art fair, our first thought was to restore Nice to all its cultural splendor, to allow it once again to welcome artists from all over the world and to offer an incredible variety of works for all audiences!"Thomas Lemaire
This year NICE ART EXPO is thinking big by inviting the works of internationally renowned artists. Visitors can stroll through different styles such as the kitsch neo-pop of Jeff Koons, the avant-garde trend of Jean-Michel Basquiat or the atypical and provocative works of Viktor Fresco!
"YOUNG TALENTS OF CONTEMPORARY ART" COMPETITION It is with a genuine desire to propel young artists who are students in art schools or self-taught artists to the forefront of the international scene, that NICE ART EXPO is launching the second edition of the "Young Talents of Contemporary Art". This year, 240 candidates applied to compete in one of four categories (sculpture, photography, painting or other visual art). Eight were selected by a jury of professionals and will have the chance to be invited to present their works for the first time at the entrance to the show. At the end of the weekend, one of them will be awarded the public prize.

THE GUEST ARTISTS OF NICE ART EXPO 2023
When the idea came to us to create an international art fair, our first thought was to give back to Nice all its cultural splendor, to allow it once again to welcome artists from all over the world and to offer an incredible variety. works for all audiences!Thomas Lemaire

Many artists from the Côte d'Azur have responded to this second edition. Whether they transmit emotions by arousing reactions like Jean-Marc Calvet or whether they transform and divert everyday objects like Vincent Duchene, they all promise a journey through contemporary art in different forms. Many galleries also take part in the fair. Among them, La Petite Galerie in Nice (Liberation district), Art de Claire Galerie (Puget-sur-Argens) or the internationally renowned Swiss gallery Alexaria Gallery.
NICE ART EXPO 2023 also puts women in the spotlight. In addition to Laurence JENK, godmother of the event, Céline De La Chapelle, Julie Gazounaud and the Riviera Véga Vénusie are the event's charming ambassadors.
