Celebrate Spring in Japanese Tradition, March 25 - April 10, 2021 The arrival of spring is celebrated in Japan by the tradition of Hanami, the contemplation of sakura (cherry blossoms), a symbol of the ephemeral side of life, wishes and offerings to the deities.

From March 25 to April 10, Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer and The Highlife Monaco Foundation invite us to travel, to discover this tradition, with Cherry Blossom, a charity event offered in the Patio of the Hôtel de Paris Monte -Carlo, for the benefit of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation. Cherry Blossom opened on March 25 in the presence of HSH Prince Albert II, Mrs. Mayu Wittouck, founder of The High Life Monaco, Mr. Olivier Wenden, Vice-President and Managing Director of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation and Mr. Jean -Luc Biamonti Deputy Chairman of Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer. This invitation to travel is available to the public until April 10. Meet in the Patio of the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo, transformed into a Japanese garden, for creative and cultural workshops around Japanese traditions, to feast on Japanese gastronomy, to make a wish with the Emas, or to read the prediction of Omikuji.

Cherry Blossom, was inaugurated on March 25 in the patio of the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo

The opening ceremony took place on March 25, in the Patio of the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo, in the presence of HSH Prince Albert II, in a decor inspired by a Japanese garden, on the notes of music by Duo Koto. The guests were initiated into the Japanese tradition of vows, addressed to the deities, to place us under their benevolence, through an Ema (small wooden plaque). Once the vows were calligraphed, they were hung on the traditional vows portico placed in the patio (at the entrance to temples in Japan). The Omikuji (little papers that predict the future) have delivered their first predictions.Ema and Omikuji are available to the public until April 10. The profit from their sale will be donated to the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation. Cherry Blossom, a journey to the heart of Japanese traditions
