Paris Haute Couture Week expected one thing this year to make a refference: Chanel collection! And, well, it came! And moreover, under the Eiffel Tour, celebrating Paris, honouring France. And Karl says is nothing political about it, although he will receive from Anna Hidalgo, the Mayor of Paris, the Grand Vermeil, the medal for his achievements in the service of Paris.

"It's all about France," Karl Lagerfeld said of his fashion show. "This is the moment for France, with M. Macron as president. I predicted it."

Besides this side, the collection defined perfectly well a trait in fashion: silhouette and perfect tailoring. The sculpture line was the defining pattern to see in the entire collection filled with greys and dark shades, putting minimalism back into force and creating the power of the tweed in all forms and lentghts. The suit bringing back the flower at the pocket, armbands, simple lined coats, but also a black column dress with corset and feather spikes, and a party dress accessorized with jewels and chiffon buttoned - all these in the service of the high Parisian chic.

A collection that perfectly fitted the Parisian autumn on a chic elegant mood.
