As part of "Jeans for Refugees", an initiative of the designer and artist Johny Dar, hundreds of celebrities have agreed to put one of their jeans auction on Catawiki, first auction site of rare objects, the benefit of International Comitee for Refugees (ICR).
Among the celebrities, we see the names of Sharon Stone, Kate Moss and Victoria Beckham for the ladies and Ryan Goslin, Benicio del Toro for the men.
Each piece was reworked by Johny Dar to make a unique piece depending on the personality of the celebrity concerned: Paint jets, graphics features, dotted in relief and gloss game ...
Bidding is open on www.catawiki.com/jeansforrefugees. The auction proceeds will be donated to the International Rescue Committee that was founded in 1933 at the initiative of Albert Einstein to assist opponents of Adolf Hitler. IRC helps victims of racial persecution, religious and ethnic, as well as those affected by war and violence.
Johny Dar, the man who had the idea of "Jeans for Refugees" is an artist passionate about this cause and is also the first to have organized a solidarity march for refugees. "The refugee crisis has affected everyone. It moves us all, it affects us all. Behind the concept of" Jeans of Refugges "hides a desire to disseminate an artistic message, to create positive change and help people collaborate around a common goal, painting a new paradigm and inspiring a better world, "said Johny Dar.
