For the fall White Label collection, Calvin Klein went more to the sensual side. More skin to touch, more transparency to discover.
"I'm calling myself a sensualist rather than a minimalist", global creative director Kevin Carrigan said. For this collection, the decadent style of the eighties was the inspiration. Also, the designer drew its muse from the "very decadent, kind of sexual" East 58th Street apartment designed for Klein by Joe D'Urso. It was all reflected in the clothes, in the textures and materials aiming to a new generation Calvin Klein.
The louche energy mixed with transparency in lace or the length of the dress or the faux-fur vest. The accents went towards sportwear also by the jogging pants pointing to this new CK generation the designer was talking about.
The collection stripes the rules. One thing that fit the decadent idea was the male model in the sauna wearing nothing but one of the brand's watch and a blanket to cover his waist. Besides this, everything else was made "for a little eroticism".
