The Makeup Show Europe is excited to reach beyond cosmetics with the unveiling of their first ever photo contest. All levels of artists in the beauty industry are encouraged to participate, and see if they have what it takes to become the next international celebrity makeup artist.

The theme of the Photo Contest "Another Brick in the Wall" celebrates the artistry, tenacity and vivacity of Berlin and its return to an international fashion city. With its exciting image, abundance of creativity and strong community of artists and designers Berlin has managed to make a name for itself once again as a platform for Designers, Makeup Artists, Photographers and Hair Stylists. From the Weimar Republic, Bauhaus Movement to Christiane F, late night clubs, counter culture and over 420 galleries, Berlin is the home of numerous cultural institutions and its vibrant and diverse mix of cultures making it the Zeitgeist Metropolis and a trendsetting image among major cities. 

Finalists will be announced on September 15, and will each have the chance to be teamed up with a fashion designer for The Makeup Show's Opening Fashion Show.  Finalists can design and incorporate their makeup look representing the theme for this exclusive event.  Your work will be judged amongst a panel of top industry insiders and viewed by all artists in attendance.  But that's not all...you will have the chance to win a number of prizes from a makeup kit valued at over $500, The MakeupShow Artist Brush Set, announcement and feature in The Makeup Show Newsletter and featured spot on the shows blog, one-on-one consultation and portfolio review, and part of an editorial story on Beautylish!

To enter submit your single image to info@themakeupshow.com by September 10, 2012. The JPEG may not be larger than 2 MB. We will have a team of editors, photographers and producers select their favorite from the entries. 

Following The Makeup Show Europe's kickoff Photo Contest and Fashion Show top beauty brands, international renowned celebrity makeup artists and inspirational seminars will congregate under one roof for two unforgettable days.  Beauty professionals will receive exclusive offers, be the first to see products unveiled and have the opportunity to wander through more than 60 top pro-focused brands. This is a must attend event for all beauty professionals as the insight gained in just two days is sure to build long lasting careers in the industry.
