The Irish Cultural Center introduces a series of writings chosen among the retrospective exhibition of Barrie Cooke organized in 2011 in Irish Museum of Modern Art, Dublin.

« One of the most amazing things is the fact that there are very few things which are not nice. » From the dreadful beauty of polluted environments, to the energy of the bare body and the mysterious animals, Barrie Cooke grabs all the subjects with the same fascination for the inbred.

This exhibition heads with the key instants for the fifty years of the artist's career, classified as the most notable from the history of Irish contemporary painting.

Exhibition from February 3rd till March 15th, 2012 - Irish Cultural Center
