It's simple, beautiful yet a sort of sophisticated look through its influences. We see 40s style, we see modern lines and a mix of standard with out of ordinary.
"It's beauty with distortion," said Yadim, working with Maybelline at Jason Wu show. "It's that gorgeous, chic woman with a dark edge."
He used mascara to pulp up the effect of volume lashes and his trick was to apply gloss on the lashes just before the models walked onto the catwalk. Just to catch more light!
He also applied matte light brown shadow on the eyelids and pale pink on the lips. A fresh look with a dark side!
As for the hair, Paul Hanlon took more of a 40s vibe and turned it into a modern look. He worked with Moroccanoil doing a left side part with fingers and a flat iron and more texture to the up side and more deconstructed waves.
"It has a hint of Forties Hollywood and marcel waves, yet more youthful and modern, with natural, organic texture," he said.
A beauty look is always accomplished with the nails. So, Deborah Lippmann worked with her line in order to create a chic look: "She's a younger, funkier, grungier Jason Wu girl, but she's still sophisticated and chic."
For the Jason Wu girl, autumn seems like a new way to refresh.
