Paris Couture Week 2016 has started and Atelier Versace made its buzz around modern glamour: a spring 2016 collection that shows the power of sophistication in nowadays society.
Backstage, Gigi Hadid or Rosie Whitheley Huntington were some of the models that got prepared to show modern glamour wearing Atelier Versace. Donatella Versace wanted simple looks, though: "Donatella (Versace) just really wanted a simple black eye - not layer upon layer upon layer," the makeup artist, Pat McGarth, said. "She wanted sexy black eyes."
Pat McGarth used Black caviar gel liner pencil from her collection plus black eye gloss. A simple look without a lot of detailing. The look was fresh, the skin clear and the lips nude.
"It's very simple," said McGrath. "This is coming back again to strong makeup, but in a more wearable [way] ... It is not the black eye of amazing, amazing skill," she continued. "It's a much easier, fresh approach to glamour."
The hair was done in the same manner with little bends in the tresses.
These looks completed the silhouettes from the collection: a flashy collection with a lot of skin revealed. The collection was sporty, urban and very actual in the spirit of power and movement. We could see tulle sheaths with sequins worn over coloured bodysuits. A contemporary mix! And, of course, the sparkling gowns from the finale! They put the feminine power on a pedestale.
