Day 4 of Manchester Fashion Week was not without controvesy, as the sold-out Flannels (high-end store and favourite to Manchester footballers and celebrities) show came to an end, two protestors who were well-dressed - and had somehow managed to get into the show - got onto the catwalk and paraded up and down with a banner, throwing leaflets at the celebrities and VIPs on the front row. Security quickly removed the protesters and they were subsequently arrested by police who were already on the scene dealing with protestors outside. Ironically there was no fur in the Flannels show! We are looking into how they managed to gain access to the invite only event. Flannels declined to comment.
The final catwalk show of the day from Mulberry did take place 25 minutes late.
