Where can we find inspiration rather that in amazing people doing amazing things! This time, the creative director of Chloe, Clare Waight Keller, found the right inspiration for the Fall 2016 collection. It is Anne-France Dautheville, the French writer and adventurer, the woman who travelled the world on a moto in the Seventies.

"During my whole life of freelance in press, if there is one area that I've avoided like the plague, it was the beauty and fashion! I was leaving on my bike, I was telling of the country, vineyards, animals or gardens, what do I know yet. The Fanfreluche, never! And Here's that Clare Waight Keller, the stylist of Chloe, is inspired by my travels for the collection fall-Winter 2016-2017. The house had the correction of contact me before the presentation, I hadn't realized that I was the center . We met, she came in my campaign, surrounded by a part of his team. Two planets totally unrelated, the one of the most exquisite refinement and mine, tractor in the garden, cats on the table, and saltpeter to the walls. It was a special moment, which is repeated several times.", Anne-France Dautheville said on her Facebook page.

"I live in a village, I write about plants now and fashion is absolutely not my universe on any level, so obviously it was a complete surprise. At the same time, I think if life is bringing me this, then there is a meaning behind it," the 72-year-old writer said.

Two universes which seemed totally different found their similarities. "A dress of Haute Couture, like a novel, like a table, is a work of art", she continued. So, the two emerged into a daring collaboration. In her honor, Chloe launched a photo exhibition for the new store on Avenue Montaigne containing images from her travel starting from Afghanistan up to Japan. The exhibition will take place till October 22nd.

As for Keller, she was totally impressed with her life:"Somebody needs to do a movie about her, because I think she's just the most amazing person. For France as well, I think she could be iconic as a very pioneering, very daring woman."

The collection includes a mix of leather pieces with chiffon dresses and blouses. For this special occassion, Chloe created also a Drew handbag with a pattern that took its inspiration from the rose window of Notre-Dame de Paris Cathedral. The handbag is available in a special limited edition of 10 pieces.
