In a spectacular first for Perth Fashion Festival, An Evening with Flannel will abandon the traditional runway, with designer Kristy Lawrence presenting an unconventional showcase event, evoking feelings of a bygone era with models unveiling the stunning fashion whilst guests indulge in a decadent three course dinner
On show will be Flannel's Spring Summer 2012/13 collection, Neronis, styled by former Vogue fashion editor, Meg Gray.
Neronis embodies the notion of elegant, feminine ease and simplicity. Inspired by the upbeat peculiar life of a 1920's circus girl and her time on and off the stage, Neronis is a collection filled with romance, elegance and a sense of adventure.
Luxurious bronze sequined kimono jackets, ostrich feather gowns and emerald silk liquid gowns are luminescent beacons in a sea of butter, crème brulee and vanilla hued laces, linen and silks. Enchanting 1920's separates convey a feeling of inquisitive freedom from sweet chemise and bloomer sets to onesies and flowing lounge pants.
"An Evening with Flannel promises to be a truly magical and decadent event. I am thrilled to be able to bring fashion followers a new, innovative and creative experience. Flannel's salon spectacular will be the first of its kind for PFF; a truly special and unique fashion delight," Mariella Harvey-Hanrahan, Director, Perth Fashion Festival.
An Evening with Flannel will take place in Hackett Hall at the Western Australian Museum on Monday 24 September at 7pm.
