An animated first week at Cannes Film Festival

Cannes Film Festival is at its first week. An animated first week! Starting from the mechanical dragon on the Red Carpet that accompanied Cate Blanchett at the premiere of How to Train your Dragon 2. A kiss, a walk, a perfect match for the actress` black Givenchy dress. It seems quite different from what we used to see as a couple on the Red Carpet. Especially for Cate Blanchett. But, she knows how to train the dragon, so we have all the confidence.

More weird than this might have seem the prank made by the Ukranian TV joker, if it was not a great marketing strategy. Although there is a lot of security and controls at the Festival, the Ukranian showman escaped the lines and flew under the Ugly Betty actress` dress, America Ferrera. What a nice place to hide! We didn`t think of doing the flic flacs on the Red Carpet. It might have done the tricks, too!

Now, besides Gerard Depardieu old jokes, our eyes got muscled by the heavy Hollywood actors, literally speaking. Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwartzeneger, Jason Statham, Wesley Snipes, Harrison Ford and also Mel Gibson with a granny look-a-like beard and Antonio Banderas, an always to be latino lover. They crossed the Croisette in a military tank, a sure thing to do the buzz for the film, The Expandibles 3. Now we see it how it expanded on the Croisette, making noise and photos and sending kisses to the fans. Of course, especially the long-hair red-lipped short skirted ones.

A first week that also was about conveying messages. And the ambassador for this was none other that Pamela Anderson that launched her Animal Foundation at the Festival. Along with Vivienne Westwood, the message was clear: let`s change the financial system of the world, let`s do some changes and every change begins with you. So, be aware!

Quite an interesting first week, I may say. Looking forward to the amazing next one!
