A Guide to Creating a Memorable Image for Your Business

Your corporate image or brand identity is what will set your business apart from the crowd and keep you one step ahead of your competition. If you have recently kick-started a new venture and you are wondering how to make it stand out, this is the guide for you.

Understand your target audience

This is step one to creating a memorable business image. Obviously, the main goal will be to craft a corporate identity that a specific demographic or target market can relate to. No matter how creative your design, if your image does not appeal to them specifically, you will have wasted your time.

So, do intensive research into who your desired client is, and then start your brand identity project from there. For example, if your target market is middle-aged men working in the world of business, you will probably want to steer clear of any designs and colors that are delicate or whimsical. You will want bold colors and a strong yet simplistic design.

Ensure consistency

Your corporate identity should remain consistent across all channels and representations of your organization. This includes your customized business cards, your website, your social media pages, your product packaging, and your store. This consistency aids in boosting brand awareness and recognizability. It also helps to put across a professional image and subconsciously makes it easier for potential clients to trust your offering.

Selecting your colors

This step is more important than simply selecting a color that you really like, or that your target audience tends to view favorably. There is a deep underlying psychology when it comes to color and how it makes us, as humans, feel.

For example, most people will associate the color blue with calmness, tranquillity, and honesty. They will associate green with nature and sustainability, and they will associate yellow with warmth, happiness, and a sense of belonging. Be sure to take all of these intricacies into consideration when pairing your brand with the right hue that best represents its goals and inner workings.

Select your logo

Another imperative step to creating a memorable business image is choosing a logo. This logo needs to be a strategic symbol of your business and what it stands for. It is also an excellent opportunity to craft a positive association in the minds of your potential clients. Think carefully about how you want your target audience to view your brand. Do you want to come across as a fearless brand that always puts the needs of its clients first? Or perhaps you want to create a sense of welcoming and warmth? This goal will heavily influence your final decision.

Be passionate

You will know that you have chosen the right brand identity when you feel proud and excited to share it with the world. Do not proceed until you feel this level of certainty. Your corporate image will follow your business for the rest of its existence, after all!

Best of luck.
