In his speech, HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco said:
"We have welcomed some of the world's greatest creative talents, as well as distinguished industry leaders. They have joined us in Monaco to celebrate the best that fiction and information can produce. Over the past few days, we have had the privilege of discovering an inspiring program, combining scripted works and documentaries from around the world." I am delighted to see that our prestigious Golden Nymphs continue to flourish year after year, and I offer my sincere congratulations to all the winners. It was also a pleasure to honor the talented actress Robin Wright with the Crystal Nymph, in recognition of an exceptional and inspiring career."
One of the highlights of this year's awards was the presentation of the Crystal Nymph to Robin Wright, recognizing an exceptional career. From The Princess Bride to House of Cards, through her roles as a committed producer and director, Robin Wright has established herself as one of the leading figures in the international audiovisual landscape. This prestigious distinction was presented to her by HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco.
A special distinction was awarded to Squeezie, in recognition of her work and pioneering role in the creation of digitally native content. Although he was unable to attend, a video in which he addresses the audience was shown during the ceremony. This honorary Digital Award, presented out of competition, heralds the official launch in 2026 of a new prize dedicated to the most innovative original digital formats.
Throughout the Festival, the public was able to attend 11 screenings and participate in some thirty public events, including signing sessions, Behind the Scenes sessions, masterclasses, and exceptional meetings with the teams of iconic series.
The Business Content program hosted high-level speakers who came to discuss strategic topics: streaming, artificial intelligence, marketing, innovation, diversity, international co-production, etc. These panels provided food for thought on the major challenges facing the industry. Furthermore, the Festival had the privilege of hosting the first edition of the international pitch competition "Tell Me A Story," organized in partnership with 1895 Films. Seven selected young filmmakers had the opportunity to present their original projects to a jury of international professionals during the Business Content sessions. The winner, Beau Shugarts of Bryant University, was officially announced at the end of the presentations for his project "30 Days Offline."
Laurent Puons, Director General of the Monte-Carlo Television Festival, said:
"This 2025 edition once again demonstrates the Festival's ability to combine artistic excellence, openness to the public, and innovation. I would like to thank all of our partners, teams, and talents who contributed to making this an exceptional event. The awarding of a Digital Prize to Squeezie and the presence of Robin Wright demonstrate the diversity and richness of the talents we promote."
Cécile Menoni, Director of the Monte-Carlo Television Festival, concluded:
"This 64th edition has once again confirmed the dedication of the audience, which grows in number and enthusiasm with each edition. It also reflects the renewed confidence of the entire profession, which supports us year after year. The wide range of programs presented, the multiple highlights accessible to all and the wealth of Exchanges between talents, decision-makers and media fully illustrate our ambition: to make the Festival an unmissable event for the entire audiovisual ecosystem. I already invite everyone to join us in 2026 to celebrate the 65th edition of the Festival together.
