13th Underwater Photography Competition in Monaco

The Centre d'Exploration Sous Marine de Monaco (Monaco Underwater Exploration Center) is holding its photography competition on Saturday September 10, 2016. 

Under the Honorary Chairmanship of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco, the mission of the Centre d'Exploration Sous Marine de Monaco is to raise as much awareness as possible and create visibility of the causes it supports. The competitions organized by the Center are part of this awareness-raising activity.

Held every year since 2003, in 2016 the competition will take place on Saturday, September 10. Teams must include one underwater photographer and an assistant. Following two dives, teams must present four photographs to the jury.

The themes selected for this year's competition are: environment with and without model, fish and macro photography.

The images submitted must be raw photographs which have not been subject to any post-processing.

In parallel, the Center is organizing a competition for children aged 8-15. During the summer holidays, children are encouraged to explore "what happens under the water." Children can sign up by completing a form at the Center (Fontvieille slipway), where they will be given a disposable camera.
