This year again, the flowered naval combat of Villefranche-sur-mer takes on its finest attire and honors the boat of the South: the pointed. Passed down from generation to generation as a heritage of a unique culture, these boats, typical of the South of France, have become a formidable tool for transmitting the Mediterranean soul. The Combat Naval Fleuri is the perfect opportunity to discover this heritage. Each year, nearly 7,000 people flock to the quays to admire this true traditional celebration and this unusual spectacle.

Numbers :

No less than 30,000 carnations, 600 kg of mimosas, 900 bouquets and 80 garlands of boxwood are necessary for the decoration of the 20 pointed. The previous weekend, the green spaces department took over the citadel to pique all the grounds.

The same morning, city employees, former sailors and boatmen as well as the neighboring cities come to help decorate each pointy.
