On the backstage of the School Dance of National Opera in Paris

For the first time TV cameras were authorised to film a school year in the heart of the Dancing school of the national Opera of Paris.  This adventure is «SEEDS Of STARS» an unpublished documentary series of 6 x 26 minutes accomplished by Françoise Mary will be broadcast on ARTE April 21st and 28th on the occasion of the Tercentenary of the French School of dance. The Dancing school of the national Opera of Paris, founded 300 years ago, is a mythical place, by international reputation today. In September, 2011, it counts 130 pupils from 8 to 18 years old, carried by the same desire: to dance one day in the ballet Corps of the national Opera of Paris. Privileged witness, the camera accompanied them during the school year. The characters, they are the little ones who are already so determined; it is also the big ones, those who in their 16 are already professionals; it is their professors, often principal dancer, as well as all those who watch over this separate world. This column of the School composed in six episodes reveals the amazing mechanics of precision which is going to drive the pupils near the Corps de ballet.
